USSF Grassroots Referee Clinic

Interested in becoming a referee? Now is a GREAT time!

Fort Worth Youth Soccer Association will host an in-person clinic on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 8am–11:30am at Benbrook Soccer Fields. FWASA is promoting to encourage enrollment for adult referees and will reimburse fees after 6 games.

How to Become a USSF Grassroots Referee - Minimum age 13. The 2-part process must be completed to become a licensed USSF Grassroots Referee. 

Part 1 - Sign up for the Grassroots Online Lessons -  All 8 modules must be completed in full before you can select an in-person clinic.

Part 2 - Select an in-person clinic to attend - Once you  see the words - ONLINE LESSONS COMPLETED highlighted in green, you can select an in-person clinic. Each clinic is 3.5 hours and held outdoors. Important information will be shared, including who you will work for, how to get games, where to get uniforms, etc.

To Register for a Grassroots Clinic:

  1. Log into - OMS
  2. Click - Find Clinic
  3. Select - Entry Never been a USSF Referee before
  4. Select - Grassroots Referee Online Lessons
  5. Register/Pay – cost is $80.00
  6. Complete the online lessons (takes 6-8 hours)
  7. Select the Grassroots In-person Training (Click on the words PICK A CLINIC and select one that best fits your schedule. In-person clinics are 3.5 hours in length – all field session training)
