From Jeremy Morrison, FWASA President:
We want to keep you all up to date regarding rescheduling and rainouts. I know the commissioners have been working hard to reschedule games due to this record rainfall we've had in October, which seems to be continuing into November.
Those of you who have gotten to play in the past couple of weeks know that several of the fields have been quite soggy. The city is doing their best to balance allowing games to be played (which could significantly damage the fields for the remainder of this season and potentially next season) versus closing the field complexes and preserving the fields.
We have been in almost daily communication with the city regarding rescheduling. The city has extended the season and allowed us to have access to the fields up to December 16th. It is the commissioners' decision when to reschedule the games, but our philosophy as a league is to try to get in as many games as possible.
Although we do our best to keep games on the same day as your league typically plays, with this many reschedules, we may have to try to schedule games on other days in order to fit the games in. We know this isn't ideal, but we're doing the best we can.
Thank you for being part of Fort Worth Adult Soccer. I am hoping for sunny and dry weather in the next few weeks along with the rest of you.
